SuperDotNet is working hard to establish one of the best all around .NET developer resource sites and
have one of the larger resources available to developers through our Link Search Engine,
original articles and tutorials, and easy to find .NET information.
-
Web resources are added every business day to the search database while newsgroup resources are added once a week. Older links, Knowledge Base Articles, and bulk links are added at random intervals.
The link search makes a distinction between web links, usenet links, and knowledge base links.
Links are returned alphabetically for all categories. Unlike a typical search engine, superdotnet's search only has relevant
articles, tutorials, discussion group listings, events, and news threads in its database. Our search
finds relevant information based on the title of articles and posts as this usually allows the best information rather than searching on all words in a document as this can lead to searches where there
might be one keyword, but it's only an external reference.
-
Our new search engine now allows searching by up to three keywords or phrases to ensure a better
search and findings.
-
Why have you opted to add a directory of categorized links and how come all the links aren't
categorized?
-
We've opted to create a directory of categorized links from only web tutorials and articles and a few posts so that developers can find common information easier. We wanted to help make it easier
for developers to find information by directing them to common areas of .NET development.
-
As our link database resource only contains relevant
articles, tutorials, discussion group listings, events, and news threads in its database, we also
understand that while many great answers can be found in posts and other non article formats, that articles
are sometimes easier for starting points to answers.
- So does the new directory of categorized links contain all web articles?
At this time no. We've created this edited list as a starting point, and some categories that some
developers might be looking for, may not be listed in our directory listing. We've done this to help provide a starting point for developers. Both the new directory and new full link search should be
used to help find resources.
- Will other sites be able to add information to the categorized directory?
Currently this option has not been standardized, but will be in the future weeks.
- What resources are indexed and from where?
- Original articles are updated weekly with 1-5 new articles per week. We are currently looking
for authors who would like to contribute on a regular basis.
We encourage other .NET related sites with articles and content to add links to our search engine and in return
ask that you also provide a link back to our site.
We try to ensure only the best content and resources for developers. Please notify us immediately if you have
found a dead link, or site no longer available.
